U.S. Marines with 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion and 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, both assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct RAIDs in support of Realistic Urban Training (RUT) aboard Camp Davis, North Carolina, Sept. 28 through Oct. 6, 2021. The RAIDs were used to hone skills in insertion, offensive tactics and extraction from a designated objective. RAID is an integral part of RUT, an overarching exercise designed to prepare Marines for the various missions they may encounter while deployed with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit.
