Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery, a unit based in Sussex and Plymouth, Wis., conducts weekend training Oct. 17, 2020, with the M142 High Mobility Rocket System (HIMARS) at Fort McCoy, Wis. The HIMARS is a light, multiple rocket launcher developed in the late 1990s for the Army that is mounted on a standard Army M1140 truck frame. Fort McCoy’s motto is to be the “Total Force Training Center.” The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services nearly every year since 1984.
