U.S. Soldiers and Marines complete snow shoe and ski training, Jan. 7-8, 2021, during the Cold Weather Operations Course class 21-02 at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Students are trained on a variety of subjects including snowshoeing, skiing and how to use ahkio sleds. Training is focused on terrain and weather analysis, risk management, cold weather clothing, and other survival tactics important to know for operating in a cold weather environment.
