U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division honor the service and bravery of three distinct Dogface Soldiers by renaming three gates to Fort Stewart after them. During the dedication ceremony, gates 1, 3 and 5 were named after the Distinguished Service Cross recipient Capt. Jesse Wooldridge, Medal of Honor Recipient Capt. Maurice Lee “Footsie” Britt and Medal of Honor Recipient Cpl. Hiroshi H. “Hershey” Miyamura, respectively. The ceremony took place in Cashe Garden on Fort Stewart, Georgia, Nov 18th, 2021.
