To promote esprit de corps with units and soldiers, Fort Hood, Texas hosted its annual Thanksgiving meal competition. Hundreds of Army culinary specialists from several Fort Hood dining facilities battled for food supremacy and the title of best dining facility on post. Each dining facility on Fort Hood takes place in the annual competition. The facilities decorate every surface and have fun themes such as Patriot Inn’s “Hollywood” or Theodore Roosevelt’s “Around the World.” Soldiers entered the dining hall to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. In the spirit of giving thanks, senior leadership from units on post served the enlisted soldiers to show their appreciation for the hard work the service members working to defend our nation. After all the food was served, Lt. Gen. Pat White announced on Tuesday that the Iron Horse DFAC was the winner of the 2021 Thanksgiving meal competition. The Theodore Roosevelt Restaurant came in second place. Nov 24, 2021 (video by Staff. Sgt. Desmond Cassell)
