During a ceremony celebrating the Army-wide partnership with AT&T FirstNet, Redstone Arsenal became the first installation with an approved infrastructure application on 12 December 2021. FirstNet will serve as a high-speed broadband communications platform for installation firefighters, law enforcement and security personnel. It is a dedicated network for first responders. Redstone is the first installation with an approved infrastructure application.
