A Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) from Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 approaches the well deck of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) in support of Steel Knight 22 (SK22), Dec. 2. SK22 is a 1st Marine Division led annual training exercise which enables the Navy-Marine Corps team to operate in a realistic, combined-arms environment to enhance naval warfighting tactics, techniques and procedures.
