U.S. Marine Corps chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense specialists with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct a training exercise in Combat Town, Okinawa, Japan Dec. 2, 2021. The training exercise consisted of Marines responding accordingly to different biological and chemical attacks. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
