Two Air Force Civil Engineer Center directorates are teaming up to spearhead demonstrations showcasing how combining technologies can protect Warfighters when assessing potentially dangerous situations like those following an enemy attack or natural disaster. Experts believe surveying these types of situations can be done by equipping small drones and other unmanned robots with ‘Lidar’ or light detection ranging. Brian Goddin with Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center public affairs shows us how this effort can also complement the Air Force’s Installation of the Future concept by helping in the creation of models called “digital twins.”
