New York Air National Guard 106th Rescue Wing's 102nd Rescue Squadron, F.S. Gabreski Air National Guard base, Westhampton Beach, N.Y., completed a loadmaster directed rescue drop of medical supplies 1,200 nautical miles off the coast of Long Island, May 20, 2022. The crew of the HC-130J Combat King II search and rescue aircraft were able to successfully find the 32-foot sailing vessel and drop the medical supplies, which were used to help a severely burned passenger on-board.
