ICE arrests border security, public safety threats during national operation.
National effort aligned with current civil immigration enforcement priorities.
WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers apprehended over 100 noncitizens following the conclusion of a national operation focused on noncitizens removed from the U.S. within the last five years pursuant to a final order, who subsequently reentered without authorization and have been determined to be a credible threat to border security or public safety. Of those arrested during the June 1-7 operation, most have convictions for crimes including, but not limited to, aggravated assault with a gun, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, hit and run, drug trafficking, and child molestation.
