CPT Viola Howard, an Iron Guardian at the Fort Stewart Soldier Recovery Unit, injured herself during her tour of duty in Germany and was transferred to Fort Stewart She set her mind to recover, rehabilitate, rebuild and ultimately return to active duty. Through surgery and the aid of the Stewart Post-Operative Rehabilitation Training Program, she advanced toward that goal. She advanced that effort using a holistic approach and empathic care from the SRU Adaptive Reconditioning Program. With drive and determination, Howard expects to complete her eight-month healing journey back to active duty soon.
Winn ACH Public Affairs Specialist Gustave Zach Rehnstrom has the story.
