Colombian Air Force pilot and 111th Fighter Squadron Commander, Maj. Rommel Rodriguez, answers questions about participating in Relampago VII, a combined Colombian and U.S. exercise taking place in the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) theater Aug. 26 to Sept. 11, 2022. Colombian Air Force and United States Air Force aircraft are flying together and against one another in training using NATO standards to promote seamless interoperability. F-16s from the 169th Fighter Wing and KC-135s from the 92nd Air Refueling Wing are rapidly integrating into theater training, as well as joint, coalition and partnered missions.
