B-Roll capturing the interment of the Pattillo Brothers.
Lt. Gen. Charles “Buck” Pattillo and Maj. Gen. Cuthbert “Bill” Pattillo served as the Thunderbirds’ first left and right wing pilots in 1953 and 1954.
During their interment today at Arlington National Cemetery, we performed the team’s first-ever dual missing man formation. Our current left and right wing pilots, Maj Ian Lee and Maj Lauren Schlichting, honored their predecessors as they were laid to rest with a maneuver we’ve dubbed the “Pattillo Pull.”
