Defense Supply Center Columbus shoot house trains the DSCC police force for possible active shooter events in the various offices on the installation. It is a modular shoot house which can be reconfigured for a wide variety of scenarios officers may encounter in a active shooter or other police situation. The scenarios use simunition, a special kind of ammunition with paint pellet heads that can be used in real-world firearms to make the training as realistic as possible. The shoot house was built in 2020 and is routinely used by other local police departments in addition to the DSCC police department.
