U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Alberto Vega was honored, October 26, 2022, during the National Hockey League Chicago Blackhawks' Hispanic Heritage Night home game vs. Florida Panthers. Vega, stepped out onto the ice with recently retired Sgt. 1st Class Frank Gutierrez. Vega has served on two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve, across his 10-year career.
