The Commandant of the Coast Guard, Linda Fagan, announced the new Coast Guard ethos in the release of the 2022 Coast Guard Strategy on October 12, 2022. The ethos was amended to reflect the Coast Guard’s modern and ready workforce. The Coast Guard strategy establishes the vision, reasoning, and framework for the Coast Guards missions.
