Common viral illnesses are unseasonably high this fall. There are many reasons for this, including reduced social distancing. As a result, rates of Respiratory Syncytial Virus or RSV, #Influenza, colds and other respiratory viruses are rising. Already, the east coast is experiencing higher rates of hospitalizations due to Influenza than we have seen in a decade. There is some good news, though. We have learned a few things about respiratory illnesses. We know that isolating/staying home when sick, masking and frequent hand washing can be effective at reducing the rate of spreading disease in our population. Getting a flu shot and even a #COVID-19 Bivalent vaccine will help to fight the flu, #COVID-19 and other seasonal afflictions. Please take a few minutes to view this very important video.
