Airmen from the 142nd Security Forces Squadron are preparing for the rollout of the upcoming "Tier" 2 Physical Fitness Test (PFT), at Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore. The new PFT is tailored around the unique physical requirements of security forces Airmen and hopes to better prepare defenders for real-world security taskings. The test is comprised of multiple fast-paced workouts akin to a CrossFit exercise and is meant to target key muscle groups commonly used by Defenders. Security Forces Airmen across the Air Force can look forward to the official adoption of the Tier 2 PFT soon.
