U.S. Forces Japan-American Football League team, the Okinawa Dragons, competed with Okinawa's Ryukyu Guardian Lions in the second annual Shuri Bowl in Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 15, 2023. The Ryukyu Guardian Lions, Okinawa’s 1st X-League team, invited the Okinawa Dragons, comprised of active duty and retired military to participate in the Shuri Castle Bowl to build comradery and local interest in the sport.(U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl.
