U.S. Army aviation battalions attached to the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, "Task Force Mustang," 36th Infantry Division, Texas Army National Guard, participate in Exercise Juniper Oak with the Israeli Defense Force in Israel on Jan. 23, 2023. The exercise included AH-64 Apache helicopters from 1st Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, "Task Force No Mercy," with support from UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation Regiment, "Task Force Rough Riders," while engaging targets in the Mediterranean Sea along side IDF Apache helicopters. Exercise Juniper Oak was designed to strengthen the readiness and improve interoperability between U.S. and Israeli forces awhile also representing the improved security in the region.
