The construction of Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz implements a positive impact for the local population, Guam, Jan. 26, 2023. As the Guam culture continues to evolve, the Marine Corps will slowly integrate into the local area, according to the 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps’ 2030 Force Design’s goal of shifting the Marine Corps mission to the Indo-Pacific. MCB Camp Blaz will play an essential role in strengthening the Department of Defense’s ability to deter and defend while securing a Marine Corps posture in the Indo-Pacific region that is geographically distributed and operationally resilient.
