TSgt Derrick McNairy shares personal insight on the importance of learning and teaching Military Operations in Urban Terrain lane during outside the wire training at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, Feb. 3, 2023. MOUT training allows students to practice techniques to prepare students for high risk scenarios they may encounter in urban areas while deployed. OTW places students in realistic and strenuous training scenarios used to teach skills such as weapons control, combative techniques, communications, mounted and dismounted movements and land navigation.
