In addition to being a gateway to the majestic rainforest, this facility offers visitor information, exhibits, a store, a café, a theater, and the opportunity to see the endangered Puerto Rican Parakeet and learn more about the species' recovery efforts. El Portal is a special place that represents El Yunque's restoration priority and symbolizes the resilient community that occupies it.
