In 2021, Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III ordered the establishment of a 90-day “Independent Review Commission (IRC) on Sexual Assault in the Military” to take bold action in addressing sexual assault and harassment in the military. The IRC made recommendations related to accountability, prevention, climate and culture, and victim care and support. Panelists will discuss where we are today along with the most recent updates, changes, recommendations, and resources.
