U.S. Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division prepare defensive positions, conduct preventative maintenance checks and services, execute presence patrols, and fulfill resupply operations at Yukon Training Area, Alaska, March 27, 2023 as part of Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center-Alaska 23-02 (JPMRC-AK 23-02). JPMRC-AK 23-02 is a display of the 11th Airborne Division’s ability to survive and thrive in the Arctic and its soldiers’ ability to fight and win our nation’s wars anywhere. JPMRC-AK 23-02 helps Soldiers and leaders develop and refine the tactics, techniques, and procedures necessary to successfully operate in remote and extreme Arctic winter conditions and overcome environmental and military challenges.
