The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center’s unique partnership with the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is an integral part of the effort to construct a new visitor center just outside of the Academy’s north gate. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center provided real estate support through its Installations Directorate and design and construction expertise through its Facility Engineering Directorate. The new visitor center will provide a 32,000-square-foot, state-of the-art facility with interactive and informative displays and experiences. The project broke ground in July 2022 and construction is expected to be complete in 2024.
