U.S. Marines with 8th Communications Battalion (8th Comm), II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Information Group, maintain and operate a simulated forward base of operation during a mission rehearsal exercise (MRX) aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, March 23, 2023. MRX is an opportunity to train and evaluate the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s ability to complete special individual and collective tasks and evaluate their ability to conduct assigned mission essential tasks in order to prepare those forces to deploy worldwide in support of geographic combatant commanders.
