On April 5, 2023, the 10th Mountain Division Headquarters participated in a Transfer of Authority Ceremony with the 101st Airborne Division Headquarters at the Carol I National Defense University in Bucharest, Romania. The 10th Mountain Division Headquarters is forward deployed to Eastern Europe to assume their responsibilities in Operation Assure, Deter, and Reinforce.
