U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 466, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), along with other units from 3rd MAW, I Marine Expeditionary Force, and local firefighting agencies participate in the Cory Iverson Wildland Firefighting exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, April 19, 2023. The exercise is an annual training event designed to increase emergency preparedness and cohesion between civilian and military firefighting agencies during California’s wildfire season.
