Soldiers at Fort Sill, OK tested their skills to earn the Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) or the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) from Monday, 17 April to Friday, 21 April 2023. The ESB is awarded to soldiers who are neither infantry, special forces, or combat medics who demonstrate their competence in various warrior and mission essential tasks, land navigation, and physical fitness. Similarly, medical soldiers compete for the EFMB, a special skill award for recognition of exceptional competence and outstanding performance by field medical personnel. All soldiers who meet the standards will be awarded the ESB or EFMB.
