U.S. Marines with Expeditionary Operations Training Group (EOTG), II Marine Expeditionary Force, evaluate the Marines of Maritime Special Purpose Force, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), as they conduct a simulated Reconnaissance and Surveillance (R&S) Insert during Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), at Alexandria, Alabama on May 20, 2023. During the R&S Insert Marines were tasked with seizing and securing the area. EOTG organized COMPTUEX as part of the 26th MEU’s final phase of the pre-deployment training to ensure their Marines and Sailors, in partnership with their Navy teammates, are ready to serve as a formidable deterrent capable of performing missions across a full range of military operations from the sea.
