Tactical combat Training System, Increment Two -- or TCTS II -- is a next-generation tracking system that allows warfighters to train like never before with added security and encryption technology. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division is interfacing with Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) to implement the system to advance aviator training. By integrating advanced systems and algorithms, TCTS II uses secure, cross-service air warfare training, real and simulated weapons, synthetic threats, and joint Live Virtual and Constructive (LVC) enabled experiences to replicate environments and progress training realism.
Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, Nev., is the first site of Joint Forces, Navy and Air Force, to implement TCTS II into their tactical combat training program. NSWC Corona is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the system, which includes being a liaison to NAWDC. Corona also plays an essential role in the physical installment of the pods, range infrastructure and engineering support.
