Paratroopers assigned across the 82nd Airborne Division participated in a Staff Ride with Col. (Ret.) Keith Nightingale in Normandy as part of the 79th D-Day Anniversary on May 31, 2023. During this event, Paratroopers visited Utah Beach, the 506th PIR “Easy Company” monument near Brecourt Manor, the Chateau de Bernaville that served as a German Headquarters on D-Day, the La Fière Memorial Park, the La Fière Manor and the La Fière Causeway just outside Sainte-Mere-Eglise. Throughout this tour, our Paratroopers walked along the same ground as those who bravely fought and selflessly served 79 years ago. (U.S. Army product by Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Hornby)
