With our Labor and Delivery still on divert status, here’s how we will continue to support you during your pregnancy with our Obstetric Patient Navigator program.

Who is eligible for the Obstetric Patient Navigator program?
We will provide support for all active-duty personnel as well as those enrolled in TRICARE

Prime Prenatal Visits – What expectant mothers can expect?
While some clinics may offer earlier first prenatal appointments, the first prenatal visit can usually be expected between 10-14 weeks of pregnancy.

    What’s My First Step?
Once your pregnancy is confirmed, contact your primary care manager (PCM) team at our Family Medicine Clinic. Request a referral for your prenatal care.

What if there is difficulty getting a referral?
Call NHB OB/GYN for assistance, 360-475-4995

What if I need care before the 10-14 week time frame?
Should you require care prior to this visit, please contact your PCM team or NHB OB/GYN, 360-475-4995.

What if it’s difficult scheduling a monthly appointment with a community OB/GYN provider?
Your NHB OB/GYN team can help with your prenatal care until your community provider can see you. If you have any questions, please contact us at 360-475-4995.

What if I have questions and concerns before my initial prenatal visit?
For those who have questions or concerns regarding your pregnancy or health prior to your first visit with your prenatal care provider, call OBGYN at 360-475-4995; contact your PCM team directly using MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or call the TRICARE appointment line 1-800-404-4506 to schedule a visit to your PCM.

What if I don’t have a primary care manager?
For those who don’t have a PCM, or are new to the area, arrangements can be made by contacting TRICARE West at www.TRICARE-West.com or calling 1-844-866-9378.

Getting a referral takes how long:
Referrals for prenatal care can take three to five business days for processing.

What should I be doing when waiting on the prenatal care referral?
We advocate to set up your user account with Health Net Federal Services to personally manage and view your referrals as desired at www.TRICARE-West.com or by calling 1-844-866-9378.

What if I get a Referral but don’t hear from the provider?
If you have not received a call to book your appointment with community OB/GYN provider, contact their office directly. They should reach out to you after your referral is approved to book your appointment. The contact information for your provider’s office will be listed on your www.TRICARE-West.com account information page.

For non-urgent concerns and questions, you may also call the 24/7 TRICARE Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-874-2273.
