The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion was an all-female, African American unit that served during World War II. The Ohio National Guard screened a documentary about the historical unit as part of its Freedom to Serve campaign launch at the Maj. Gen. Robert S. Beightler Jr. Armory in Columbus, Ohio, June 1, 2023.
