The 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division hosted a change of command ceremony at the Calvary Hill Parade Field on May 31, 2023. The event recognized Lt. Col. James Brant, outgoing commander of the 1st ARB, 1st Avn., Regt. and his family for their hard work and dedication while serving in the 1st Inf. Div. and introduced incoming Lt. Col. Charles King, formerly the operations team leader and presidential strike advisor on the Joint Staff, J36, Nuclear and Homeland Defense Operations , as he prepares to fill the role left behind by Brant.
