Spc. Arthur Kelly, an Avenger crewmember, and Staff Sgt. Cesar Rivas, an Avenger missile handler, both assigned to the Florida National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 265th Air Defense Artillery Regiment supporting 4th Infantry Division Artillery, discuss their part in the Baltic Zenith exercise where they conducted Avenger M3P .50-caliber machine gun reload procedures and live-fire training near Jurmalciems, Latvia, June 14. The AN/TWQ-1 Avenger air defense system is a fully automated, highly mobile, short-range air defense system able to acquire, identify, track and engage targets from a stationary or moving position. The 4th Inf. Div.'s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
