A U.S. Navy F/A-18 Hornet from the Blue Angels demonstration team tests a mobile barrier system, June 14, 2023 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The barrier system is designed to help stop aircraft when the landing distance is insufficient, or there is a malfunction of the brake system. The system is tested every year for annual certification requirements.
