The U.S. Army Reserve's 311th Mortuary Affairs Company recently participated in Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) 91-23-01 at Fort Hunter Liggett, California in June. CSTX 91-23-01 simulates the sustainment of operations in a Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) environment. The training will enhance the lethality and survivability of participating units and prepare them to assume real-world missions. As a part of that training, the unit was subject to sporadic simulated attacks by a mock enemy force. These "injects" tested the unit's basic soldier skills. Their response was overseen by Observer-Controller/Trainers (OCTs) who evaluated, validated, and trained the unit. (U.S. Army Reserve video by Sgt. Michael Ito)
