U.S. Marines with 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, load a C-17 Globemaster III during a Strategic Mobility Exercise at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, July 7, 2023. Over 400,000 pounds of equipment and 100 passengers were loaded onto five C-17 Globemaster III assigned to 21st Airlift Squadron, 60th Air Mobility Wing, and transported to the Philippines in support of Marine Aviation Support Activity 23. MASA 23 aims to enhance the combined and joint interoperability between Philippine and U.S. Marine forces in conducting combined tactical operations and heliborne operations.
