U.S. Marines conduct land navigation during Fuji Viper 23.3 at Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji, Japan, Aug. 7, 2023. Fuji Viper is a repeated exercise series with multiple iterations annually that enables 4th Marines forces to conduct combined arms live-fire training that is not possible at many other locations within Japan, providing realistic training opportunities to Marines forward-deployed in the Indo-Pacific. 3d Battalion, 5th Marines is forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
