Mr. Richard D. Branson has dedicated his life to improving care for this nation’s military personnel. The son of a United States Marine, he has become a world-renowned Respiratory Therapist and an accomplished military medical researcher. His efforts represent the pinnacle of the military-civilian partnership to support military-relevant research. He played a pivotal role in accentuating the research capabilities at the University of Cincinnati with the Center for Sustainment and Readiness Skills platform. In addition, his efforts led to the development of a Closed Loop Control platform for mechanical ventilation, which completed a first-of-its-kind clinical trial.
