U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 23, U.S. Airmen, and Royal Australian Air Force Airmen unload an AH-1Z Viper helicopter and a UH-1Y Venom helicopter with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367 from a U.S. Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft with the 436th Airlift Wing at Royal Australian Air Force Base Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, July 13, 2023. The C-5M transported U.S. Marine Corps attack helicopters to Darwin to allow forward air control in aerial and ground escort operations in order to maintain a crisis and contingency force-in-readiness that can contribute to a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
