U.S Army Reserve Spc. Selena Sanchez, an operating room specialist assigned to the 7455th Medical Operations Readiness Unit, and Canadian Army Cpl. AJ Mak, a medic with the 12th Field Ambulance, discuss the process of moulage, a technique of using prosthesis and special effects makeup to create realistic training scenarios for medical personnel. Mak and Sanchez were two of many service members that participated in Exercise Global Medic 2023, a multi-component capstone medical collective training event held at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 12- 26, 2023. Exercise Global Medic trains forces from all components along with joint and international partners to perform a collective medical training event to test their medical equipment, systems and procedures to help prepare for future conflicts.
