The Basic Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course and Advanced Rider Course are provided under the Installation Management Command’s Army Traffic Safety Training Program at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, August 24, 2023.
Upon completion of the Basic Rider Course, service members may use their completion certificate to obtain a valid motorcycle endorsed license from Washington State, which is required to operate a motorcycle.
The basic course teaches riders how to start and operate a motorcycle, safety-oriented mental strategies and basic rider skills.
Both classes are offered year-round to active duty, guard or reserve service members. (U.S. Air Force video by Senior Airman Callie Norton)
