In January 1974, the Air Force Test and Evaluation Center was activated at Kirtland AFB, N.M. For 50 years, AFOTEC has tested and evaluated new systems and capabilities in operationally realistic environments. AFOTEC continues to inform the Warfighter and Acquisition through operational test.
