Cpl. Waverly B. Woodson, a First Army combat medic, is posthumously presented a Combat Medic Badge and a Medal of Honor on Oct. 11 at the Arlington National Ceremony. Woodson sacrificed himself on the battlefield while sustaining injuries and his actions led to the lives of dozens of U.S. Soldiers to be saved.
