Cpl. Waverly Woodson, an African American medic who served heroically during the WWII D-Day invasion and who is currently at the center of bipartisan Congressional efforts to upgrade him to the Medal of Honor, posthumously received a WWII-era Bronze Star and the Combat Medic Badge during a ceremony at his gravesite at Arlington National Cemetery, Oct. 11, 2023.
