SAVANNAH, Ga.--An F-22 Raptor from the 27th Fighter Squadron, executes a variation of a dynamic deceleration maneuver also known as the Cobra climb maneuver during a William Tell Air-to-Air Competition event, Savannah, Georgia, Sept. 14, 2023. The maneuver requires the employment of a rapid vertical pitch-up from level flight and climbing vertically. It ends with the climb and the aircraft returning to level flight.
